Tallulah was created by Nicola Adams in 2003, inspired by her own experience of feeling judged when shopping for lingerie after becoming a mother. “I’m Nicola before anything else. Mothers can be sexy too, and it’s not that shocking!” she says, recalling the challenges of early motherhood. “I couldn’t find a safe, supportive (pun intended) environment that empowered me in my lingerie choices. I needed a space that embraced everyday sexy for this new chapter in my life, without the shame and stigma often attached to lacy lingerie.”
With this personal experience, along with a lifetime of insights and a passion for helping others wear well-fitted, beautiful lingerie, Tallulah was born. Nicola’s early career was dedicated to dressing women of all shapes and sizes in exquisitely cut clothing. “I could never understand why women would spend so much time, effort, and money on outerwear but neglect the most important foundation—lingerie,” she says. “The right lingerie makes all the difference, not just in how clothes fit, but in one’s confidence. The correct size and shape underneath acts like a superpower—a wisp of lace worn close to the skin is the wearer’s secret to the outside world, from school runs to meetings, everyday sexy without shame.”

In addition to her consultancy work, Nicola lectures at the prestigious London College of Style, sharing her knowledge and passion for the transformative power of well-fitted, beautiful lingerie.
